Before learning to drive, you must have a provisional driving licence. Apply for yours online or visit your local post office to obtain the D1 form.
You should thoroughly read the Highway Code. This explains the rules of the road and will help you in your practical driving and your theory test.
Your theory test can be booked online or over the telephone (0870 0101 372) and will cost you £28.50. Click here for Online theory test practice
Your practical test can also be booked online once you have passed your theory test and will cost you £48.50 (there is a higher charge for evening or weekend tests). Click here for the Government's motoring website
Your early driving lessons will include :
Learning the controls in the car
Pulling away and stopping
Using a steering wheel correctly
Clutch control
Changing gears
Cancellations
Driving lessons are subject to a minimum of two working days notice for any cancellations.
The school retains the right to charge the tuition fee if 48 hours notice is not given.
